Job Outline
- To support the Commercial team – Corporate, Leisure, Ethnic, Groups and Tour Operators – in preparing and maintaining optimum tariffs in the local market, to help achieve the company’s commercial objectives.
- Proactively analyze market performance and trends, and report any changes, opportunities and threats to Emirates in the market.
- Monitor market and create business-case based proposals to optimize Emirates performance.
- Execute fare & fare conditions publishing on emirates.com as required. Ensure correct fare filings in all distribution systems and perform quality control analyses to ensure correct fares are being sold. Maintain local databases detailing fare distribution by agency (PCC/OID).
- Follow up changes in distribution channels based on knowledge of GDS and NDC systems.
- Ensure proper and timely communication of all pricing/rule changes to both internal and external stakeholders (travel trade partners), together with marketing or tactical sales initiatives. Provide input for EOL and Corporate Communications to facilitate timely customer information.
- Set up promo codes and landing pages for emirates.com as per HO approval guidelines.
- Produce weekly & monthly reporting. Use existing and create new reports as and when required.
- Provide proactive market research statistics and benchmarking on competitor fares/special offers/Rules/Fare development/Market Share.
- Make recommendations for tactical fares initiatives where necessary and support with Tactical Sale Planning (fare calculations and T&Cs).
- Prepare fare proposals as required and coordinate all relevant administration between HQ and Belgium using all available tools including Airfare / Infare.
- Handle in line with company requirements any trade travel partner related incentives.

Qualifications/Experience
- Educated to degree level
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Tariffs and Ticketing in an airline commercial environment
- A thorough knowledge of Fare construction, Ticketing and Refunds
- Excellent analytical skills with proven ability to analyse data and prepare analytical reports, covering market shares and trends
- Proactive and hands on attitude
- Working proficiency in one of the GDS’s used in Belgium market
- Advanced user of all Microsoft Office applications, in particular Excel
- Strong team player
- Fluent in English, French and Dutch
